I need help. I’m confused about installing aoe3 and it doesn’t work at the moment.

Situation: I installed the complete aoe3 collection on a regular C (OS) drive. But shortly after that, I needed space in C, so I cut out the entire aoe3 file in that folder, which was pasted into drive D. Now when I click on age3y.exe, the problem says “Initialization failed. Failed to link DATAPY.BAR.” . When I click on age3x.exe in the market, I also write “Failed to initialize. Failed to load DATAPX.BAR”. Similarly, when I click on age3.exe, I just write “Initialization failed. Failed to load DATAP. BAR.

I know uninstalling/reinstalling solves the problem 99% of the time, but this is probably my last resort.

    Any help is appreciated.

The problem is that The installation site is no longer correct.

Open Registry Editor and do the following (for 64-bit systems):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Wow6432Node Microsoft Microsoft Games Age software connected to Empires 3 1.0

In this table, you can find the following entry: “SetupPath”, which usually looks like this for a typical installation:

So you always change the entry when the Age of 3 Empires directory is found.

Oh, there’s a problem. I bought this some time ago from Steam Online Games for a trusty laptop. Now I have a new computer and am trying to get the game working again. I get a screen that gets too old, when 3 is allowed to make changes to my computer, I select OK, then it asks me and my colleagues questions about warlords, I always get “Failed to load DataP panel”. went as far as he could.
